Handling, Wrapping, Packing, Packaging & Crating
Our constant commitment to your purchase of artwork continues with the utmost care and expertise when we wrap and prepare the work prior to designing the final crate, package or case.
All goods are professionally wrapped and packed prior to being crated. Our approach to managing and dealing with Artwork & Curios is to focus and utilize our experience and expertise when handling extremely fragile and or valuable items with the maximum of care and continuous attention to the client’s needs. This enables us to optimize cargo space & reduce shipping costs.
Most of our clients’ commodities require crating for export.
These range from fine art, paintings, sculptures, curios to ceramics and sometimes includes personal effects for transport via Airfreight, Seafreight and Domestic Road Freight.
At Overload International Freight (Pty) Ltd, we manufacture custom built crates according to our clients’ individual requirements using timber, plywood and hardboard.
All our timber crates are compliant with the International Maritime & IATA requirements for export cargo, as well as the current ISPM-15 Regulations for export.
Overload International Freight has implemented the necessary measures to comply with Part 108 of the Civil Aviation Authority Regulations, enabling us to screen cargo as part of the new international air cargo security requirements. The objective of this new legislation is to ensure that all air cargo has been screened and protected from unlawful interference.
Our hands-on involvement & control of all our consignments from point of collection to depot of service provider for Exports ensures minimum handling and avoids unnecessary delays. We personally handle all of our clients’ collections and only outsource transport requirements according to our clients’ commodity, needs and or requests, which we personally oversee throughout the process.
